Job summary

Cardo Group is seeking a reliable Void Property Cleaner to join our team in the UK. You will carry out thorough cleaning and preparation of vacant properties to ensure they are safe, hygienic and ready for new tenants or handover.

The role involves deep cleaning, environmental cleans and waste removal, with a focus on high standards of cleanliness, COSHH compliance and working safely with PPE. Full UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning within void properties, social housing, or facilities management.
• Experience with deep cleaning and environmental cleaning is desirable.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, hygiene standards, and safe chemical use.
• Understanding of COSHH, risk assessments, and safe working procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workloads.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.
• Physical fitness for demanding cleaning duties.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough cleaning of void properties, including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas and communal spaces.
• Undertake deep cleaning of floors, walls, windows, fixtures, fittings and other surfaces.
• Carry out environmental cleans in heavily soiled, neglected or unhygienic properties.
• Remove rubbish, unwanted items, debris and household waste in line with procedures.
• Clean and sanitise kitchens, bathrooms and high-contact surfaces to ensure hygiene standards.
• Post-maintenance and refurbishment cleans for new tenants or handover.
• Use cleaning equipment, chemicals and PPE safely per COSHH and procedures.
• Identify and report property damage, hazards and maintenance issues.
• Follow risk assessments and safe working practices.
• Manage workloads to meet deadlines and property turnaround targets.
• Maintain cleaning equipment, materials and supplies in good condition.
• Complete cleaning checklists and job records.
• Work independently and alongside colleagues and other contractors to ensure properties are clean, safe and ready for occupation.
• Undertake any other reasonable cleaning duties to support void property and environmental cleaning.
