Grade 6 (£51,247 – £55,662*) | Permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) |
Hybrid (two days per week in our Paisley office)

The Role

As Policy & Practice Lead with the RMA, you’ll sit within our management team and hold a strategic role in developing advice and recommendations for Scottish Ministers, the RMA Board, and nationwide justice agencies working to make Scotland safer. You’ll take a leading role and hold responsibility in developing RMA policy based on research and effective practice evidence, including key policy work relating to the activity of the Criminal Justice Board. We’re looking for someone to take the lead in policy oversight of our training and education strategy and provide support to the continuous development of our approach to risk assessment and management planning.

The Organisation

The Risk Management Authority (RMA) is a non-departmental public body, established in 2006. A small team of fewer than 30, we aim to support our colleagues in many ways, embracing our values of learning, integrity, fairness, and excellence. We’re currently working a 35-hour week on a hybrid basis to promote work/life balance, with a flexible working policy and flexi-time for all staff. As part of the Scottish Government, we offer benefits including 29 days’ annual leave plus 11½ public/privilege holidays, which can be taken flexibly.
