London Senate House

Fixed Term

Senate House Library is the central library for the University of London, and the home library for the School of Advanced Study. We offer access and research support to collections covering Arts, Humanities and Social Science and are home to a number of unique and distinctive Special Collections in the heart of London’s student and research community.

Senate House Library is seeking to recruit to fill the role of Repository and Open Access Manager.

The role is managing, maintaining and promoting the University repository, and advocating for open access publishing. The postholder will work closely with academic staff and students in managing the deposit of research outputs and will play a key role in upskilling staff in open access.

The standard requirement will be for the post-holder to work onsite at the Library, working from home some days under the UOL hybrid working policy. Although based in SHL, the postholder will work closely with all academic departments and UoL Research Services.

The successful applicant will have experience of administering an open access repository or research data repository. Essential qualities include an ability to communicate and build relationships with staff and stakeholders at all levels; proven organisation and planning skills, including a methodical and flexible approach to tasks; and an ability to effectively prioritise and plan. They will act as the first line of support for repository user queries.
