Overall purpose of role:
The Records Manager will work with the Knowledge & Information Manager to provide records and information management services for both electronic and paper records. They will be actively involved in managing records through their lifecycle, including the review of records, development and application of appraisal criteria and management of their destruction or transfer to The National Archives. The Records Manager will manage electronic records in EDRM systems (Objective and SharePoint). They will champion a culture of good information management across the organisation, providing advice and supporting the development and implementation of related policies and guidance. They will work in a large KIM team that is part of the Strategy Directorate at UKRI.
Reporting to the Knowledge & Information Manager.
Direct reports: Records Management Support Officers.
