The Parliamentary Archives helps the UK Parliament operate more efficiently and transparently, enabling informed decision-making and effective action. The Archives aim to inspire everyone with the compelling story of Parliament, its people, and communities to the present day.

Based in the Preservation & Access Team, this position offers a self-motivated individual interested in archives and digital heritage the opportunity to gain experience in maintaining and developing services within a modern, high-profile archive.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • An interest in heritage, archives, or collections management, especially digital collections
  • Ability to organise your own time and workload, adhere to schedules, and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and research skills with the ability to interpret diverse sources
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a commitment to mutual trust, respect, diversity, and inclusion
