Archives Technology and Services, a department within BBC Technology Group leans into the business and is responsible for the movement, delivery, storage, archiving and reuse of BBC Programmes. We build and support enterprise systems that enables thousands of users inside the BBC, in indie production and education partners to search, find and reuse archive master content. We support the BBC’s delivery chain and ship content to all the linear Channels and iPlayer as well as supplying Creative and Access Services.
As a Business Analyst you will work across a number of product offerings including file based delivery, archive products, storage development and content location, tracking, reconciliation and reporting.
You’ll be working in our Archive Delivery area. We are responsible for the delivery of programme content supporting BBC Channels, iPlayer, Radio and BBC Sounds and ensuring that all our programmes are archived for posterity.
We develop and build a range archive products using modern serverless approaches. We are building the BBC’s first cloud hybrid archive system, and you’ll be at the heart of this work.
In this role you will work at the core of multi-disciplinary teams that operate with autonomy and initiative to build and improve products within the Archives Technology & Services space. You’ll have your eye on what’s coming up in the roadmap, making sure we understand the requirements and the work is ready for development.
