Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the digital preservation program for National Archives’ born-digital and digitised collection. The program encompasses management of the archival digital assets, including digital preservation systems, tools, planning and best practice. This role is responsible for setting priorities and deadlines, planning, and making day-to-day decisions to ensure the achievement of relevant program outcomes.
• As the Assistant Director, Digital Preservation, you will have experience in working with digital collections with demonstrated knowledge of digital preservation and the risks and vulnerabilities of digital collections. You will analyse the National Archives digital collections and ensure those collections are appropriately managed and preserved. As the primary business user, you will be responsible for the management and reporting of the National Archive’s digital preservation systems.
