Vacancy for Assistant Archivist - Archive Management System at Cambridge University Library

The Archives & Modern Manuscripts team is looking to appoint an Assistant Archivist - Archive Management System. This is an opportunity to support and enhance the discovery of archival collections by users locally, nationally, and internationally through supporting, coordinating, and developing use of the Archive Management System.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and share knowledge about and skills in archival data management using the system with other archivists working in approximately 30 archival repositories across Cambridge.
  2. Answer inquiries and liaise with colleagues about the system's technical performance and development.
  3. Contribute to the development of archival data management workflows.
  4. Maintain and develop user documentation.

An integral member of the Archives and Modern Manuscripts team at the University Library, you will join an Accredited Archive Service at an exciting time of service development including digital preservation and reader services. We particularly encourage candidates from a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic background to apply for this vacancy as they are currently under-represented at this level within our University.
