We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the LMG Heritage Services Team as the Institute of Popular Music Archivist/ Curator. Reporting to the lead Archivist, you will be responsible for the appraisal, weeding and cataloguing of the archive. You will monitor the storage and conservation needs of the collection, working with external contractors as necessary. You will recommend digitisation priorities and prepare content for projects in liaison with the wider team. You will contribute to the broader ambitions of the IPM and work with its stakeholders, providing information and interpretation for promotional content and will support the integration of the collection into teaching, research and public engagement. As part of a small team you will work collaboratively to ensure the archive can be used to its full potential as a research resource alongside the broad spectrum of heritage collections managed by the service. You will take an active role using physical and digital environments to reach new audiences.
