As part of our Digital Transformation, we are investing in IT services to enhance learning and research capabilities, fostering global collaboration on pressing issues.
Your role involves supporting existing services and applications, managing incident responses, and delivering sustainable services that facilitate discovery, usability, management, and preservation of Special Collections metadata and digital collections. You will also support the Library’s Digital Library repository and assist in integrating and presenting digital resources via the Special Collections website.
You will lead the development of these systems in collaboration with Library and IT colleagues, including designing and implementing new tools or integrating existing tools with emerging technologies to improve resource discovery and operational efficiency.
Utilizing your skills and experience, you will provide high-quality proactive and reactive application support and development. Skills in scripting languages such as PHP are essential, with familiarity in Python or Perl and experience with LAMP stack development being advantageous.
Ideally, you will have knowledge of digital asset management, digital scholarship, and experience with data schemas and IIIF (International Image Interoperability Framework).
Your work will involve creating and maintaining user documentation aligned with industry best practices, IT standards, and regulatory requirements in a complex environment.
