Our client is a well-known brand name in the beverages sector. Working in their R&D Analytical Services department this role will be responsible for providing a wide range of analytical testing services to various internal clients.

Position: Technical Scientist

The Role

  • Day to day delivery of the Analytical Surveillance Programme.
  • Providing expert analytical and technical advice to support business projects.
  • Ensuring the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Providing analytical support to all current markets.
  • Maintaining laboratory SOPs, manuals and product analytical database.

Requirements

  • To be qualified to degree level or equivalent in an Analytical Chemistry or Food Science discipline.
  • Working knowledge of organic, physical and analytical chemistry.
  • A professional approach and good interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of analytical measurements including safety procedures, data recording and calibration of equipment.
  • Practical analytical, R&D and technical experience within the food industry.
  • A pro-active, organised, time and detail conscious approach is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A thirst for knowledge.
  • A great deal of energy and enthusiasm.
