Job Title: Media & Communications Officer

Salary: up to £34.5K

The organisation: An environmental campaign

The role:

1. To promote campaign messages to the media and the public, which can include national and international travel & managing relationships with celebrity supporters.
2. To package & deliver a media plan in order to maximise the effectiveness of the campaigning work and thus increase the chance of success.
3. To build relationships with journalists & respond to incoming media enquiries, including writing articles, press releases, blogs, and managing social networks.

The candidate:

1. Has a demonstrable understanding of the media, particularly within the campaigning sector, in order to maximise support from the public and ultimately from decision makers.
2. Has solid experience of working with a UK-wide campaign or organisation in a public relations or media context, including online communications & brand management.
3. An excellent project manager able to manage and assess communications & media projects.
