A legal support charity in London seeks an Immigration Advisor to provide legal advice to detainees in prisons and detention centers. Candidates should have a minimum of two years’ experience in advice work and familiarity with immigration or asylum procedures. The role offers part-time hours with a possibility to transition to full-time. Competitive salary and supportive work environment.
The Detention Advice Service (DAS) is a voluntary organisation set up twenty years ago to provide advice, information and assistance to those who are detained or threatened with detention under Immigration Act powers.
The post is a three day per week permanent position with scope to be made full time. The salary for this post is £24,157 pro rata. The deadline for applications is 9am on Friday 3 August, and interviews will be held on Tuesday 14 August.
