Job summary

West Dunbartonshire Council is seeking a Scheduler for the Care at Home team. The role focuses on managing the scheduling system, matching Home Carers to service users, and supporting carers to deliver personalised care.

You will work closely with the Care at Home Co-ordinator, ensuring smooth service delivery while adhering to care plans and safeguarding requirements. This role offers hybrid working and pro-rata salary based on hours worked.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the scheduling tool accurate and up to date so service users receive care.
  • Decide on deployment of Home Carers to meet complex needs.
  • Be the first point of contact for service users and staff, offering support.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Handle changes such as Carer absences and find quick solutions.
  • Respond to care service availability requests and liaise with Carers and providers.
  • Maintain records and follow procedures if safety concerns arise.
  • Prepare reports to help managers plan and improve service delivery.
  • Assist with referrals and transitions of care for new users.

In this vital role, you’ll work closely with our Care at Home Co-ordinator and Organisers to ensure our service runs smoothly. You’ll support our incredible Home Carers by managing the scheduling system and matching Carers to service users in line with their individual care plans.

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults and Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

Responsibilities

The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975.
