Working closely with the Executive Director as part of the senior management team, you will manage our team of four campaign staff. To thrive you’ll need to be an exceptional campaign strategist, with a proven track record, comfortable inspiring both staff and our 120,000 supporters with 10:10’s ambitious, positive and practical approach to carbon cutting.
Easily able to read the political climate, you will feel comfortable taking the reins of our existing projects from the core 10% work through to Solar Schools and political campaigns such as Lighter Later, as well as overseeing our international campaigns. You will be at ease making tough decisions about which campaigns to grow, retire and reinvent to fit the current context.
To succeed you will need an understanding of the delicate interplay between online activism and practical on-the-ground action, working alongside our celebrated web team in building our pioneering new action platform. This will combine the best of online campaigning and community building, and is due to begin roll-out in early 2012.
Comfortable representing our work to external audiences and funders of all kinds, you will be an excellent promoter of 10:10’s identity, ethos and reason for being. You will ensure that there is high impact, consistent delivery and promotion of the brand, along with coherent communications, across all our campaigns. You will understand 10:10’s appeal and have a good sense of which partners we should be working with from regional beer brewers to national media organisations.
For the right candidate this is an exceptional opportunity to build on the work of a young, vibrant and effective organisation ready to change the narrative around climate change.
