Job description

Responsibilities

GLBA is the Global Banking and Advisory division of SGCIB. It offers a global advisory approach focused on strategic dialogue with clients. GLBA provides a comprehensive range of services from SG CIB and the Group, with a focus on investment banking and commercial banking. It delivers tailored solutions to corporate clients, financial institutions, the public sector, and family offices.

As a VIE, you will support Credit traders (high yield, leveraged credit) within the DCS team through market analysis, PnL monitoring, quantitative analysis, pricing models, and qualitative structural and liquidity assessments. The DCS team is a joint venture between the Global Banking and Advisory and Global Markets divisions, combining credit capabilities and working closely with Origination and Credit Portfolio Management to de-risk the bank across primary (Syndication) and secondary (Trading) markets, as well as pursuing Fund Financing and Securitization activities for clients such as corporates, financial institutions, and fund managers.

Summary of the key purposes of the role:

  • Support DCS traders and interact with sales, middle office, risk, and syndicate teams to manage risks, report, source opportunities, and support clients.

During your mission, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with risk management and market activity monitoring (P&L, risk metrics, market indicators)
  • Leading middle office interactions and coordination
  • Supporting credit and financial analysis, including peer analysis, secondary pricing, and liquidity tracking
  • Monitoring financial markets, news, and economic indicators
  • Improving processes, automating databases, and enhancing internal tools for relative value analysis and risk management

Note: For missions outside Europe, a valid VISA is required. Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to avoid delays. Consider renewing your passport promptly if needed.

Studies & experience:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related field with a specialization in Finance
  • Experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or structured finance is a plus

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
