The UX/UI Designer creates intuitive, accessible digital experiences within a start-up style innovation team. Working from concept through MVP and scaling, they design interaction patterns, prototype solutions, and shape product experiences across multiple modalities - not just screens.
Work in a technically focused environment, balancing complex outcomes with consumer needs.
Craft the end-to-end user experience, bringing together a cohesive journey step by step.
Bring designs to life through Figma and feel confident in running user testing sessions.
Balance business requirements with user needs, gathering user research and rationale to align stakeholders on individual user needs. You'll know when to diplomatically push back, if necessary, to act on what's right for the customer.
Be adaptable to the technical constraints of different platforms yet still be able to give guidance on creating the best possible end-user experience.
Advocate customer inclusion, ensuring designs are inclusive and accessible to customers of all ages, backgrounds, and technical abilities.
Collaborate closely with other designers, product owners, and engineers.
The Group Innovation team sits within the GCOO organisation and focuses on turning bold ideas into real, scalable outcomes. Working in a fast-paced, start-up like environment, the team rapidly explores and validates new opportunities by testing customer desirability, business viability, and technical feasibility.
Through experimentation, design, and cross-functional collaboration, Group Innovation helps shape future propositions, unlock new growth areas, and bring cutting-edge concepts from idea to delivery.
Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity or culture.
We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative. And it's why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups.
We're disability confident. So if you'd like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.
