Job summary

Tata Elxsi is seeking a passionate UX/UI Designer to join the user-centred design team across our digital platforms in the United Kingdom. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience working as a UX Designer, Product Designer, or similar role, specifically focused on HMI and Automotive infotainment.
• A portfolio showcasing user-centred design solutions, real-world case studies, and your end-to-end design process.
• Strong expertise in Agile and Scrum frameworks, with a deep understanding of how design processes integrate into software development lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed user flows, customer journey maps, sitemaps, and personas to guide layout strategy.
• Build low-to-high fidelity wireframes, storyboards, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Run concept validation and usability test sessions with end-users to gather feedback and continuously iterate your designs.
• Ensure all designs align with digital accessibility frameworks (e.g., WCAG / AODA) and best practices.
• Hand off flawless designs to developers and work alongside stakeholders to facilitate requirement discussions.
• Document all UX features and interaction specifications in line with IP guidelines.
• Review and validate UX/HMI features prior to release to the software development team while maintaining design integrity.

• Ensure all user experience features and interaction specifications are thoroughly documented and aligned with Intellectual Property (IP) guidelines.
• Review and validate all UX/HMI features prior to releasing them to the software development team, maintaining a high standard of design integrity
