Job summary

Oliver Bernard in Manchester partners with a leading UK financial services organisation to recruit a UX Research Operations Specialist. This role shapes and scales Research Operations, embedding governance and best practices across Research.

You will work with UX Researchers, Product and Design to optimise workflows, manage tools and recruitment, while exploring AI. The position is hybrid (3 days in office, 2 remote) with a salary of £50,000–£55,000 and private medical insurance.

We're partnering with a leading UK financial services organisation to recruit a UX Research Operations Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and scale Research Operations within a growing UX function, helping researchers work more efficiently while embedding best practice, governance and operational excellence.

The Role

You'll play a pivotal role in enabling high-quality UX Research by improving the systems, processes and tools that support it. Working closely with UX Researchers, Product, Design and cross-functional stakeholders, you'll help build scalable research operations across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimise UX research workflows and operational processes.
• Manage research tools, repositories and documentation.
• Coordinate participant recruitment, scheduling and governance.
• Drive the adoption of AI and automation to improve research efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and research governance standards.
• Improve collaboration across Product, Design, Engineering and business teams.
• Track operational metrics and continuously improve ResearchOps maturity.

About You

We're looking for someone with experience in UX Research Operations, UX Research, Product Operations, Service Design or a similar role, with:

• Experience improving research operations, tooling or governance.
• Strong stakeholder management and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of UX research methods, participant management and repositories.
• Experience with tools such as Dovetail, UserTesting, Maze, Qualtrics or similar.
• A passion for operational excellence, continuous improvement and emerging AI technologies.
