Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Mid-weight UX Researcher to shape the future of our internal Enterprise and Data Science tools. You will uncover user needs, behaviours and pain points, guiding product and design decisions for colleagues, suppliers and Data Scientists.

Working with a Senior UX Researcher, you will lead research across product lifecycles, plan studies, and translate findings into actionable recommendations that balance user and business goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience researching enterprise or complex organisational digital products or services.
  • Strong knowledge of qualitative methods: interviews, usability testing, workshops, journey mapping.
  • Experience using quantitative methods: surveys, analytics, data-driven insights.
  • Ability to plan, conduct and analyse research end-to-end.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling to influence stakeholders.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams (PMs, Designers, Engineers, Data Scientists).
  • Collaborative mindset and passion for user-centred design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver UX research across Enterprise and Data Science products and user journeys.
  • Plan and conduct research throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery through to post-launch evaluation.
  • Identify user needs, behaviours, challenges and opportunities through a range of research methods.
  • Translate research findings into actionable insights and recommendations that inform product and design decisions.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, Data Scientists and Analysts to embed user-centred thinking into product development.
  • Facilitate workshops, presentations and research playback sessions to share insights with stakeholders.
  • Support teams in balancing user needs, business goals and technical constraints to improve experiences.
  • Contribute to research strategy, best practices and the growth of user-centred design across the organisation.

Job description

This role is based in our London Farringdon office and requires 3 days in the office.

We're looking for a Mid-weight UX Researcher to help shape the future of our internal Enterprise and Data Science tools. Working alongside a Senior UX Researcher, you'll uncover user needs, behaviours and pain points to help create intuitive, effective experiences for colleagues, suppliers and Data Scientists. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure research insights drive product, design and business decisions, ultimately helping users work more efficiently and make better decisions.

  • Leading and delivering UX research across Enterprise and Data Science products and user journeys.
  • Planning and conducting research throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery through to post-launch evaluation.
  • Identifying user needs, behaviours, challenges and opportunities through a range of research methods.

  • Experience using quantitative methods such as surveys, analytics and data-driven insights.
  • Ability to independently plan, conduct and analyse research activities from end to end.
  • Strong communication, presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, Data Scientists and Analysts in multidisciplinary teams.
  • A collaborative mindset, analytical thinking and a passion for understanding user needs and behaviours.
