Job summary

Zuto is seeking a UX Product Designer in Manchester City Centre to join our Growth team. You will turn customer problems and opportunities into rapid prototypes, combining user research, behavioural data and AI-enabled design principles to drive fast validation with real customers.

You’ll lead the development of an AI-enabled design system and work closely with Product, CRO, Engineering and Data teams to test and refine experiences that accelerate car finance decisions for our customers.

UX Product Designer

Location: Manchester City Centre

The Role

As our UX Product Designer, you’ll play a key role within our Growth team, helping turn customer problems and commercial opportunities into experiences we can rapidly put in front of real customers.

You’ll combine user research, voice-of-customer insight and behavioural data with a fast-paced optimisation mindset — taking ideas from initial concept to high-quality, testable prototypes in days rather than weeks.

AI will be a fundamental part of how you work. You’ll use it as a force multiplier to explore more ideas, accelerate prototyping and validate assumptions faster. You’ll also lead the development of an AI-enabled design system that helps dramatically reduce the time between having an idea and getting genuine customer feedback.

Success isn't measured by how many screens you design. It's measured by how quickly you help us discover what works and how effectively those learnings help more customers successfully finance a car through Zuto.

What you'll be doing

Rapid Experience Design

• Turning ideas into high-quality prototypes at exceptional speed, helping teams move from concept to customer feedback in days rather than weeks.


• Creating customer journeys, wireframes, user flows and prototypes that make ideas tangible and easy to test.


• Translating customer problems, commercial opportunities and product hypotheses into experiences customers can genuinely interact with.


• Using strong UX and interaction design principles to create intuitive, simple and effective customer journeys.


• Rapidly iterating designs based on insight, experimentation and customer feedback.

AI-Native Design & Systems

• Using AI tools every day to accelerate ideation, prototyping, content creation, interaction design and design production.


• Building and evolving an AI-enabled design system designed around rapid experimentation and reusable patterns.


• Creating systems and processes that allow teams to move from idea to customer validation significantly faster.


• Continuously exploring emerging AI capabilities, tools and workflows that increase design velocity and reduce unnecessary effort.


• Helping shape what an AI-native product and design function looks like at Zuto.

Experimentation & Product Collaboration

• Working closely with Product, Marketing, Partnerships and Data to identify opportunities, shape experiments and improve customer outcomes.


• Partnering with our Conversion & Experimentation capability to turn hypotheses into experiences that can be rapidly tested.


• Using customer insight, behavioural data and experimentation results to continuously refine experiences.


• Learning from best-in-class digital products and bringing relevant ideas and inspiration into Zuto.


• Rapidly translating inspiration and insight into concepts we can test with customers.


• Using evidence rather than opinion to inform design decisions.

Customer Experience & Insight

• Developing a deep understanding of our customers, their motivations, behaviours and the barriers they experience.


• Combining user research, customer feedback and behavioural data to identify opportunities for improvement.


• Championing the customer throughout the design and experimentation process.


• Ensuring design decisions balance customer needs with commercial outcomes.


• Identifying friction within existing journeys and designing simpler, more effective experiences.

What You’ll Need

We’re looking for someone who combines strong UX fundamentals with speed, curiosity and a genuine desire to experiment.

You’ll need:

• Proven experience designing digital products and customer experiences.


• Strong UX and interaction design fundamentals.


• An exceptional ability to move from idea to prototype quickly without compromising on the thinking behind it.


• Experience building and evolving scalable design systems.


• A product mindset and strong commercial awareness, understanding how design decisions influence both customer and business outcomes.


• Experience using customer insight and behavioural data to inform design decisions.


• A highly iterative mindset where learning quickly is more important than chasing perfection.


• Strong collaboration skills and experience working closely with Product, CRO, Engineering and Data teams.


• A high-ownership mentality and bias towards action.


• Natural curiosity about emerging technology and best-in-class digital experiences.

AI Fluency

AI isn't an add-on to this role — it's fundamental to how we want our design capability to operate.

We're looking for someone who is already genuinely AI-fluent and actively using AI to accelerate design, prototyping and experimentation.

You'll constantly explore how AI can help you move faster, reduce manual design work, generate and test more ideas and ultimately shorten the journey from idea → prototype → customer feedback → learning.
