Job summary

Rowden is seeking a UX Designer who thrives in complex, high-stakes environments. You will own end-to-end UX from discovery to delivery, working closely with product and engineering to define problems and craft robust design solutions.

You’ll conduct your own user research, take ownership of design quality, and collaborate with front-end engineers to ensure the final product matches intent. The role emphasises accessibility (WCAG) and scalable design patterns.

Qualifications

• Portfolio showing end-to-end design on technically complex products.
• Ability to turn loosely-defined problems into structured understanding and viable approaches.
• Strong skills across interaction design, workflow design, and structuring complex systems.
• Experience setting up and running user research (interviews, surveys, usability testing).
• Proficiency in Figma as primary design/prototyping tool.
• Excellent communication to translate between technical teams and end users.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end UX design from problem framing to implementation with quality ownership.
• Build structured understanding of complex problems and communicate clear recommendations with trade-offs.
• Produce flows, wireframes, prototypes at appropriate fidelity.
• Plan and conduct user research and translate findings into design decisions and direction.
• Collaborate with front-end engineers during delivery to ensure alignment with intent.
• Design with WCAG accessibility in mind and contribute to coherent product experience.
