Job summary

ActAI is seeking a UX designer to own the core app experience, crafting end-to-end flows for daily AI-assisted tasks. You will shape how users start tasks, track progress, and recover when things go wrong across iOS, Android, and web.

You will work with product, engineering, and ML teams to translate user needs into concrete design solutions, conduct usability research, and contribute to a growing design system to support reliable AI interactions.

Qualifications

• Experience as a UX designer on consumer mobile or web apps with a strong portfolio.
• Skilled in user flow design, wireframing, and high-fidelity prototyping in Figma.
• Ability to design for asynchronous, non-deterministic AI-driven systems.
• Clear thinking about user trust, control, feedback, and transparency in AI experiences.
• Experience conducting user research and turning findings into design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own UX for ActAI's core app surfaces across iOS, Android, and web.
• Design complete user flows for AI-assisted tasks from intent to completion, including handoff and error recovery.
• Show how the AI's decisions appear and what users must confirm or adjust.
• Map AI states users encounter: loading, thinking, acting, waiting, recovering.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and ML teams to translate requirements into design.
• Conduct usability research to understand trust, uncertainty, or disengagement.
• Produce wireframes, flows, and high-fidelity designs for engineering.
• Contribute to the design system and AI-specific UX patterns.
• Design for simple daily interactions and complex multi-step AI workflows.
