UX Designer

Full-time/Part-time

Location: Leicester or Windsor (hybrid)

About your team:

British Gas Energy aspires to be Britain’s favourite energy supplier. Our long history is complemented by our commitment to sustainability and innovation, making energy more accessible and environmentally friendly.

About your role:

Our product design team seeks an experienced UX Designer with proven user-centred design expertise and knowledge of UX methodologies. You will shape our services, advocating for customer needs, and crafting intuitive digital solutions for our Business Gas customers.

You’ll influence customer experience across products and journeys, collaborating across teams to develop innovative solutions. Your research, usability testing, and data analysis will uncover insights to guide your designs. You will map and design seamless services, working closely with Product Owners and Tech teams to deliver impactful work.

You’ll champion user-centred design standards and contribute to evolving our design systems, ensuring our team remains innovative and efficient.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

Experience across all design stages is preferred, with strengths in some areas:

• UX Research
• UX Design
• UI Design
• Design Thinking
• Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency with UX tools, disciplines, and processes
• Contributing to and maintaining design systems in Figma

A design degree is a plus but not required.
