Basis Technologies is hiring a UX Designer to help shape complex, AI-enabled product experiences across Klario, our AI-driven Intelligent Change Management platform for SAP-run enterprises. You will work end to end, from discovery through to delivery, turning real customer problems into clear, usable product experiences.
Working closely with Product, Engineering and a Senior UX Designer, you'll conduct research and discovery to understand customer needs, explore solutions and turn those insights into clear, usable product experiences for a complex domain.
You’ll also help shape how AI works within the product, designing how it responds, guides users, handles uncertainty and adapts to context. This includes exploring conversational and assistive interactions where traditional, linear workflows may not be the best approach.
Plan and conduct user research, including interviews, discovery sessions and usability testing, to understand customer needs, behaviours and workflows.
Turn research findings into clear problem definitions, user journeys, concepts and design opportunities that inform product decisions.
Design product experiences end to end, from early exploration and low-fidelity concepts through to detailed prototypes and implementation-ready designs.
Use qualitative insights and product data to test assumptions, validate designs and improve experiences throughout the product lifecycle.
Design AI-enabled experiences, considering how AI responds, guides users, handles uncertainty, recovers from errors and adapts to different situations.
Explore new interaction patterns for conversational, assistive and adaptive AI experiences where traditional linear workflows may not be appropriate.
Support post-release learning to understand whether shipped experiences are solving the intended customer problem.
Contribute to improving UX research, discovery, design documentation and product design practices across the team.
To help you establish whether this role is for you, these are the key foundational characteristics you will need to be set up for success:
A portfolio that demonstrates strong product thinking and shows how research, reasoning and iteration shaped the final experience, not just the finished interface.
Excellent UX research skills, with experience independently planning and running interviews, usability testing and exploratory research.
Strong experience designing digital products from discovery through to delivery, ideally within B2B SaaS, enterprise software or similarly complex environments.
Experience designing complex workflows or systems that involve sophisticated, multi-step user journeys.
A good understanding of AI and LLM behaviour, including how uncertainty, context and generated responses affect the user experience.
Experience of, or a strong interest in, designing AI-powered products and exploring interaction patterns beyond traditional screen-based experiences.
Comfortable working within a small, growing design team, collaborating closely with a Senior UX Designer, Product and Engineering.
