Job description

Do you have previous digital pre-print experience? Are you looking to be part of a growing team with opportunities for career progression? If so, this could be the role for you!

PLEASE NOTE - This role will start on a part-time basis, with the goal of transitioning to full-time as production needs increase.

Our client is an established UK trade supplier of creative, promotional merchandise, specializing in the manufacture and supply of unique and quality corporate Promotional Tech Products.

As they grow, they are seeking a UV Digital Print Operator to oversee and lead print operations.

You will set, proof, and prepare work for digital production print, ensuring high standards and quality service within set timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all work is completed within the set timeframe and prepare digital print files for variable production printing.
  • Support print production when needed.
  • Operate digital production print machinery to a high standard.
  • Gain knowledge of production printers and RIPs used in digital print.
  • Handle data submissions of print files and customer data via mail merge and FTP.
  • Manage image files across production printer RIPs.
  • Provide technical advice to Account Handlers.
  • Maintain validation checks and quality assurance during print runs.
  • Document processes and exceptions for team coverage during absences.
  • Manage stock counts and documentation.
  • Log and coordinate printer servicing.
  • Train team members.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in digital pre-print.
  • Experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, and VersaWorks.
  • Proficiency with PC.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Calm, organized, customer-focused, positive, and flexible.
  • Ability to manage fast-paced periods and be self-motivated.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Roland printers.
