Job Description

As a Utility Surveyor, using your technical expertise, you will deliver a first-class service to our customers with safety being paramount. Your role will involve identifying, evaluating, and quantifying work required to maintain contract safety clearances from overhead electrical networks.

This role is within our arboriculture and infrastructure vegetation management division, known for safe and efficient delivery of services across the Midlands and South East, from our Ledbury and Hermitage offices, working on numerous strategic, long-term contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand relevant industry legislation and safety guidelines related to arboricultural work
  • Conduct site-specific risk assessments with robust emergency procedures
  • Compile work packs in line with contract specifications for operational arborists
  • Liaise with private landowners and stakeholders to gain consent for works
  • Identify and understand safety zones and their inherent dangers
  • Ensure safety of yourself and others on site
  • Coach and mentor junior team members
  • Coordinate with the wider team to track and complete work according to client requirements
  • Work autonomously, maintaining a professional manner and focus on service quality
Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years arboriculture experience
  • Hold UA1, UA2.1, and UA5 qualifications
  • Additional competencies are advantageous
