Job Description:

Role Overview: As a Utility Surveyor, you will use your technical expertise to deliver a first-class service with safety as a top priority. Your responsibilities include identifying, evaluating, and quantifying work needed to maintain safety clearances from overhead electrical networks.

Division: This role is within our arboriculture and infrastructure vegetation management division, known for safe and efficient service delivery across the Midlands and South East, operating from Ledbury and Hermitage offices on various strategic contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand relevant industry legislation and safety guidelines for arboricultural work.
  • Conduct site-specific risk assessments with robust emergency procedures.
  • Prepare work packs according to contract specifications for operational teams.
  • Liaise with private landowners and stakeholders to gain work permissions.
  • Identify and understand safety zones and their dangers.
  • Ensure safety for yourself and others on site.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to track and complete work to client standards.
  • Work autonomously, maintaining professionalism and delivering excellent service.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of arboriculture experience.
  • Hold UA1, UA2.1, and UA5 certifications.
  • Additional competencies are advantageous.
