Job Description:

As a Utility Surveyor, using your technical expertise, you will deliver a first-class service to our customers with safety being paramount. Your role will be to identify, evaluate, and quantify work required to maintain contract specification safety clearances from overhead electrical networks.

This role is within our arboriculture and infrastructure vegetation management division, operating across the Midlands and South East. We have an excellent reputation for safe and efficient delivery of arboriculture and vegetation management services, working on numerous strategic, long-term contracts from our Ledbury and Hermitage offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand relevant industry legislation and safety guidelines related to arboricultural work.
  • Conduct site-specific risk assessments with robust emergency procedures.
  • Prepare work packs in line with contract specifications for operational arborists.
  • Liaise with private landowners and stakeholders to gain consent for works.
  • Identify and understand safety zones and their inherent dangers.
  • Ensure safety of yourself and others on site.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members.
  • Coordinate with the wider team to ensure work is tracked and completed according to client requirements.
  • Work autonomously with a focus on delivering high-quality, professional service.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years arboriculture experience.
  • Hold UA1, UA2.1, and UA5 certifications.
  • Additional competencies are advantageous.
