  • Identify and understand safety zones and their inherent dangers.
  • Ensure safety for yourself and others on site.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members.
  • Work autonomously, delivering first-class service professionally.

Description
As a Utility Surveyor, using your technical expertise, you will deliver a first-class service to our customers with safety being paramount. Your role will be to identify, evaluate, and quantify work required to maintain contract specification safety clearances from overhead electrical networks.
This role sits within our arboriculture and infrastructure vegetation management division, where we have an excellent reputation for safe and efficient delivery of arboriculture and vegetation management services. Operating across the Midlands and the South East, from our Ledbury and Hermitage offices, we work across numerous strategic, long-term contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand relevant industry legislation and safety guidelines related to arboricultural work
  • Recognize the importance of site-specific risk assessments and robust emergency procedures
  • Collate work packs in line with contract specifications to enable operational arborists to perform their work
  • Liaise with private landowners and stakeholders to gain consent for works
  • Identify and understand safety zones and their inherent dangers
  • Ensure safety for yourself and others on site
  • Coach and mentor junior team members
  • Work with the wider delivery team to track and complete work according to client requirements
  • Work autonomously, delivering first-class service professionally

Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years arboriculture experience
  • Hold UA1, UA2.1, and UA5 certifications
  • Additional competencies are advantageous
