Description

As a Utility Surveyor, using your technical expertise, you will deliver a first-class service to our customers with safety being paramount. Your role will be to identify, evaluate, and quantify work required to maintain contract specification safety clearances from overhead electrical networks.

This role sits within our arboriculture and infrastructure vegetation management division, known for safe and efficient delivery of arboriculture and vegetation management services across the Midlands and South East, from our Ledbury and Hermitage offices, working on strategic, long-term contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand relevant industry legislation and safety guidelines related to arboricultural work.
  • Conduct site-specific risk assessments and establish robust emergency procedures.
  • Prepare work packs in line with contract specifications for operational arborists.
  • Liaise with landowners and stakeholders to gain necessary permissions.
  • Identify and understand safety zones and their inherent dangers.
  • Ensure safety for yourself and others on site.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members.
  • Coordinate with the wider team to ensure work is tracked and completed to client requirements.
  • Work autonomously, maintaining a professional manner and focus on service quality.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years arboriculture experience.
  • Hold UA1, UA2.1, and UA5 certifications.
  • Additional competencies are advantageous.
