Job description

Description
As a Utility Surveyor, using your technical expertise, you will deliver a first-class service to our customers with safety being paramount. Your role will be to identify, evaluate, and quantify work required to maintain contract specification safety clearances from overhead electrical networks.

This role is within our arboriculture and infrastructure vegetation management division, known for safe and efficient delivery of services across the Midlands and South East, from our Ledbury and Hermitage offices, covering strategic, long-term contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Understand relevant industry legislation and safety guidelines related to arboricultural work.
  2. Recognize the importance of site-specific risk assessments and robust emergency procedures.
  3. Compile work packs aligned with contract specifications to enable operational arborists to perform their tasks.
  4. Liaise with private landowners and stakeholders to gain necessary consents.
  5. Identify and understand safety zones and their inherent dangers.
  6. Ensure safety for yourself and others on site.
  7. Coach and mentor junior team members.
  8. Coordinate with the wider delivery team to track and complete work according to client requirements.
  9. Work autonomously with a focus on delivering excellent service professionally.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' arboriculture experience.
  • Hold UA1, UA2.1, and UA5 certifications.
  • Additional competencies are advantageous.
