Job Description:

Role Overview: As a Utility Surveyor, you will leverage your technical expertise to deliver exceptional service, prioritizing safety. Your main responsibility will be to identify, evaluate, and quantify work needed to maintain safety clearances from overhead electrical networks, in line with contract specifications.

This role is within our arboriculture and infrastructure vegetation management division, known for safe and efficient service delivery across the Midlands and South East, from our Ledbury and Hermitage offices, managing numerous strategic, long-term contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand relevant industry legislation and safety guidelines related to arboricultural work.
• Conduct site-specific risk assessments and establish emergency procedures.
• Prepare work packs aligned with contract specifications for operational arborists.
• Engage with private landowners and stakeholders to obtain necessary consents.
• Identify and comprehend safety zones and their risks.
• Ensure safety for yourself and others on site.
• Mentor and coach junior team members.
• Coordinate with the wider team to track and complete work as per client requirements.
• Work autonomously with a focus on delivering high-quality, professional service.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ arboriculture experience.
• Hold UA1, UA2.1, and UA5 certifications.
• Additional competencies are advantageous.
