Qualifications

Job Description

As a Utility Surveyor, using your technical expertise, you will deliver a first-class service to our customers with safety being paramount. Your role will be to identify, evaluate, and quantify work required to maintain contract specification safety clearances from overhead electrical networks.

This role is within our arboriculture and infrastructure vegetation management division, known for safe and efficient delivery of services across the Midlands and South East, from our Ledbury and Hermitage offices, working on strategic, long-term contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Understand relevant industry legislation and safety guidelines related to arboricultural work.
  2. Conduct site-specific risk assessments and implement robust emergency procedures.
  3. Prepare work packs aligned with contract specifications for operational arborists.
  4. Liaise with private landowners and stakeholders to obtain necessary consents.
  5. Identify and understand safety zones and their inherent dangers.
  6. Ensure safety for yourself and others on site.
  7. Coach and mentor junior team members.
  8. Coordinate with the wider delivery team to track and complete work per client requirements.
  9. Work autonomously with a focus on delivering high-quality, professional service.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' arboriculture experience.
  • Hold UA1, UA2.1, and UA5 certifications.
  • Additional competencies are advantageous.
