Job summary

First Recruitment Group is recruiting for a Utilities Surveyor to join the UK’s largest surveying company in Manchester. You will deliver underground utility and CCTV surveys on major projects, using modern surveying tech to capture, process, and present data with high professional standards.

You’ll work independently on varied surveys, support trainees on-site, and ensure equipment is maintained. A focus on health and safety, plus driving licence, are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years in utility and CCTV surveying.
• Strong knowledge of traversing and survey control.
• Hands-on experience with GPS and Total Station equipment.
• Proven ability to process survey and CAD data to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Complete utility and CCTV surveys to high standards.
• Collaborate on large projects with engineers and surveyors.
• Provide guidance on-site to trainees and junior staff.
• Process raw survey and CAD data accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain surveying instruments and ensure they’re fit for purpose.
• Conduct site inspections and dynamic risk assessments when needed.
