Where will you be working?

At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.

You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team in Suffolk, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll undertake utility assessments for underground and overhead apparatus.
  • Are you a health and safety champion? You’ll advise on safety precautions for safe excavation practices.
  • You’ll produce sketches of service locations for future reference.
  • Are you organised? You’ll be issuing permits to dig, and reporting accurate details in site permit registers.
  • You’ll be marking utility locations on site and refreshing existing locations where needed.
  • Are you confident in managing stakeholder relationships? You’ll be meeting with appropriate stakeholder representatives to agree details of GS6 reports.
  • You’ll undertake appropriate training to further knowledge on underground and overground utility marking to support business activities.
  • You’ll contribute to Health and Safety investigations including reporting on findings immediately post incident or near miss occurrence.
