Job summary

Co-op Digital in Manchester is seeking a Utilities Specialist to validate utility bills for internal and external customers, manage complex queries, and support Power Billing Transformation. You’ll contribute to accurate payments and customer satisfaction within a collaborative CBS environment.

The role offers hybrid working with two days in the office per week and progression opportunities within Co-op Business Services. Strong Excel and stakeholder management are key requirements for success.

Responsibilities

Utilities Specialist
£27,000 - £31,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6B)

We're looking for a Utilities Specialist within our wider Co-op Business Services (CBS) organisation. CBS is made up of a number of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable and cost-effective business services across our Co-op. You’ll play a key role in helping CBS to support and realise our group vision of ‘co-operating to build more value for member-owners every day’.

Why this role matters

As a Utilities Specialist, you’ll support us to validate utility bills for suppliers, helping to make sure that they’re paid accurately and on time, and managing more complex queries on behalf of the team. This is a great opportunity to step up to a more senior position if you already have some experience int the utility industry, working in a supportive and inclusive environment.

What you’ll do

• Validate utility bills for internal and external customers, taking on complex accounts for the team
• Complete COTs (Change of Tenancies)
• Manage complex supplier/customer queries through the Salesforce case management system
• Be involved in Power Billing Transformation - reviewing our current processes and making them fit for the future
• Supplier query calls and debt resolution

What you’ll bring

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and good general IT skills (you’re comfortable using programmes in Microsoft Office / 365)
• Utility Industry experience
• Stakeholder management experience with presentation and communication skills
