Job description

Our Role

As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the resources associated with delivering a wide range of Electrical Projects and EV Works, on various projects across Yorkshire and the North East.

You will plan, manage, and supervise operational teams as they carry out schemes and provide operational leadership – ensuring that the work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to our client’s expectations. In addition to Health and Safety, customer service is critical to the client.

You will work with the scheduling and planning team to ensure work is delivered on programme. You will be expected to communicate with customers who are impacted by our work, as and when required.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Have operational supervisory responsibility for projects and the daily activities that take place on site.
  2. Organise workforce, manage contractors, and deliver projects.
  3. Manage all other resources e.g. materials, plant, etc.
  4. Ensure accurate information is captured of works undertaken, including photographs, as-builts, and quality assurance exercises.
  5. Regularly visit teams at local site level – reviewing progress and performance and ensuring standards are adhered to at all times.
  6. Carry out team briefings with teams on a monthly basis; coaching and developing the teams and supporting them in reaching their full potential.
  7. Complete team inspections as and when required, ensuring a high level of compliance with a real focus on quality and a right first-time operational delivery.

Experience and Qualifications

  1. Relevant Qualifications in relation to the work being carried out i.e. NRWSA at supervisory level.
  2. Health & Safety qualification an advantage.
  3. Experience of working in Utilities.
  4. Supervisor Street works qualification.
  5. Deep Excavation knowledge and experience.
  6. Good management skills.
  7. Financial and commercial awareness.
  8. Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  9. Excellent communication skills.
  10. Full UK Driving Licence.
