Utilities Inspector - Asset Management (Water)

RPS has an exciting opportunity for a Utilities Inspector to work within the Asset Management team, inspecting and providing feedback on the condition of Assets and Infrastructure to support the Water Consulting Business across the UK.

About The Team:

RPS Water Consulting comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts delivering Asset Management and Operational Strategy solutions to Water Industry clients, supporting their business planning and delivery. This evolving industry presents challenges and opportunities requiring innovation, dedication, and teamwork.

Our Water Consultancy is involved in prestigious AMP8 programmes leading into AMP9 and beyond, offering long-term career stability and legacy creation.

About You:

As a key member of our Water Consultancy team, your role as Utilities Inspector is vital for delivering quality projects for our clients. You will work alongside multidisciplinary water project experts on various capital delivery projects.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and report on Water and Sewage Infrastructure Assets.
  • Prepare Inspection Reports detailing features, health & safety measures, and structural conditions.
  • Develop and follow policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to a skilled team to meet KPIs and grow the business.
  • Perform inspection reporting and support Asset Management framework objectives.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Experience in Civil/Structural Engineering Inspection and Water site work preferred.
  • Experience inspecting structural features, pipe bridges, and tunnels beneficial.
  • Relevant civil/structural inspection skills from other utilities considered.
  • Proficiency with electronic inspection reporting and MS 365 suite.
  • Understanding of health and safety practices.
