Utilities Inspector - Asset Management (Water)

RPS has an exciting opportunity for a Utilities Inspector to work within the Asset Management team, inspecting and providing feedback on the condition of Assets and Infrastructure to support the Water Consulting Business across the UK.

About The Team:

Our Water Consulting team comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts delivering Asset Management and Operational Strategy services to water industry clients. We are involved in innovative projects with opportunities for long-term career development, including prestigious AMP8 programs leading into AMP9 and beyond.

About You:

You will be a vital part of our Water Consultancy team, working with multidisciplinary experts on capital delivery projects. Your role involves making a meaningful impact on communities by ensuring the quality and safety of water infrastructure, working with major water companies.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and report on Water and Sewage Infrastructure Assets.
  • Document features and conditions related to health & safety and structural integrity.
  • Develop and follow policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to team KPIs and business growth.
  • Prepare inspection reports and support Asset Management objectives.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Experience in Civil/Structural Inspection, preferably in water site work.
  • Experience inspecting structural features, pipe bridges, and tunnels.
  • Skills in civil/structural inspection from other utilities are also considered.
  • Proficiency in electronic inspection reporting and MS 365 suite.
  • Understanding of health and safety practices.
