Utilities Inspector - Asset Management (Water)

RPS has an exciting opportunity for a Utilities Inspector to work with the Asset Management team, inspecting and providing feedback on the condition of assets and infrastructure to support the Water Consulting Business across the UK.

About The Team:

RPS Water Consulting comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts offering Asset Management and Operational Strategy development to water industry clients. We focus on innovation, dedication, and teamwork to meet client needs and thrive in a dynamic industry.

Our water consultancy manages prestigious AMP8 programmes leading into AMP9 and beyond, offering long-term career growth and legacy opportunities.

About You:

As a vital member of our Water Consultancy team, your role as Utilities Inspector involves delivering quality projects for our water industry clients, working alongside a multidisciplinary team on capital delivery projects. Joining us means contributing to impactful projects, working with leading water companies, and making a positive community impact.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and report on water and sewage infrastructure assets.
  • Create inspection reports covering features, health & safety, and structural conditions.
  • Develop and follow policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to team goals and KPIs.
  • Support asset management framework objectives.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Experience in civil/structural engineering inspection, water site work preferred.
  • Experience inspecting structural features, pipe bridges, and tunnels beneficial.
  • Skills in civil/structural inspection from other utilities considered.
  • Proficiency in electronic inspection reporting and MS 365 suite.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices.
