Job summary

Refresco Bridgwater is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to keep our production lines running at peak efficiency. You will work in a fast-paced FMCG setting, fault-diagnosing and performing planned and reactive maintenance on a range of state-of-the-art equipment.

The role offers a 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shift pattern (days/nights) with 42 hours on average per week and an attractive salary plus shift allowances. Ex-military welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer with bias in either electrical or mechanical.
• Experience working in FMCG/food environments desirable.
• Experience with processing equipment including pipework, pumps, silos, turning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality engineering service in collaboration with the Engineering Team Leader.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, basic control, and instrumentation faults.
• Carry out maintenance across the asset base and drive site efficiency improvements.
• Contribute to factory improvement projects with a proactive mindset.
• Ensure smooth, safe operation of production lines and packaging machinery.

About the role:

You will be an integral part of your team, ensure the factory is kept up and running to its highest capacity, and work as part of a well-regarded, focused maintenance team. You will support both planned and reactive maintenance work throughout our factory on various state-of-the-art equipment including; pallet wrappers, shrink wrappers, conveyors, check weighers, palletizers, packaging machinery, processing systems, specialist food processing machinery, silos, pumps, pipework, etc.

What are your daily tasks as a Utilities Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer at Refresco Bridgwater?

• Working closely with the Engineering Team Leader, responsible for delivering a high-quality Engineering service.
• Rapidly diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, basic control, and instrumentation faults.
• Completing a full range of maintenance activities across the entire installed asset base within your work area.
• Continuously working to improve performance to deliver site efficiency and performance standards.
• Get involved with factory improvement projects.

About you:

We are looking for an experienced maintenance engineer with a multi-skilled engineering background (either biased). You must hold a minimum L3 qualification in an engineering discipline or be time served.

Candidates from an FMCG/food background would be highly desirable, however, we will consider candidates from other backgrounds. Ex-military are welcome to apply.
