An opportunity has arisen for a receptionist to work withinCounty Durham & Darlington Minor Injuries/Urgent Treatment Care Centre atBishop Auckland
As a Receptionist you will be part of a team providing anefficient reception and administration service. As first point of contact youwill need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability tocommunicate with staff and service users alike.
You will need a good knowledge of computer systems inparticular SystmOne, and possess excellent organisational skills and beconfident in completing both individual and team tasks. Duties will include awide range of admin tasks and reception work.
Due to the nature of the work you will need to demonstrate agood understanding of confidentiality and a non-judgmental attitude isessential.
7 days a week 24 hours a day on a varied shiftbasis, weekends, days, evenings and nights. In addition you may be required tohelp cover in other UCCs across the County.
Responsible for the greeting of patients and visitors to theDepartment and all reception duties concerned eg filing / photocopying /e-mailing/scanning/booking transport.
Responsible for the timely and accurate management ofpatient information in the Department
Responsible for registering new patients on the SystmOneensuring data is retrieved and recorded accurately
Booking of fracture clinic appointments
Support the organisation of home visits, ensuring clincalnotes are ready for GP's
To receive and deal with telephone calls frompatients, GP's, NHS 111 and other health professionals

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

Ensure patient satisfaction and confidentiality ismaintained throughout
Deal with distressed, abusive and/or complaining customersface to face and via the telephone
Provide a service to patients and health professionalsregarding requests/queries
Able to work under pressure both supervised and unsupervisedcarrying out duties in accordance with departments Policies and Proceduresensuring quality standards are adhered to.
