You will be the first point of contact for court users, regularly interacting with the judiciary and administrative staff. Your responsibilities include welcoming the public (including vulnerable witnesses and legal representatives), preparing court rooms, completing documentation, and supporting the efficient operation of the court. You will work within a team, managing your own time and supporting HMCTS's work.
With a friendly, approachable manner, you should possess strong communication skills to assist and reassure court users confidently. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize your workload is essential. You should be comfortable with IT, detail-oriented to ensure accurate documentation, and adaptable to new software. Providing help and reassurance in challenging situations professionally is key.

This is a customer-facing, office-based operational role providing HMCTS services to the public. The standard working hours are 37 hours per week.
From 4 April 2024, the salary threshold for Skilled Worker visas has increased. The starting salary for this role is below the general sponsorship threshold. The Department cannot sponsor unless you have held a Skilled Worker visa since before this date, qualify for relevant points, or meet other criteria. If you believe you are eligible and receive a provisional offer, mention this during vetting.
