Job description

We're looking for a mid-weight User Researcher to join our growing UX Research team and help us understand our users, their needs, and the experiences that drive them. You'll support research efforts across product teams, working closely with fellow researchers, designers, product managers, and analysts to bring the voice of the user into everyday decision-making.

At Depop, user research is embedded in how we build and iterate on products. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in user research methods who is looking to deepen their skills, grow their impact, and work on meaningful problems in fashion, marketplaces, and community.

What you'll do

  • Support end-to-end research efforts across a product or feature area, with guidance from more senior researchers.
  • Work closely with product teams to define research goals, plan appropriate methods, recruit participants, and deliver findings.
  • Conduct a variety of research studies, including interviews, surveys, usability tests, and concept evaluations, to inform product design and direction.
  • Collaborate with designers, PMs, and analysts to identify knowledge gaps and turn business questions into research questions.
  • Contribute to synthesis efforts by analysing qualitative and quantitative data, helping to generate clear, actionable insights.
  • Help communicate findings in ways that engage teams, from short-form summaries to presentations, workshops, or insight decks.
  • Champion the user perspective in product conversations and design critiques.
  • Contribute to the development of research team practices and shared resources.
Who you are

  • You have experience conducting UX research in a product or design environment.
  • You have experience applying a range of research methods (e.g. usability testing, interviews, surveys) and know when to use them.
  • You're comfortable working with data - both qualitative and quantitative - and can spot meaningful patterns in user behaviour.
  • You communicate clearly and collaborate well with designers, PMs, and engineers
  • You're a strong storyteller who can turn insights into action.
  • You're curious, adaptable, and excited to keep learning and growing in your research practice.
  • You care deeply about users and want to help create meaningful, inclusive, and delightful experiences.
Bonus if you have

  • Experience working in consumer tech, marketplaces, or fashion.
  • Familiarity with remote testing and research platforms like UserTesting, Userzoom, Maze, Dscout
