Role Title: Creative Technologist / User Experience Engineer
Location: London, UK (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH)
Responsibilities:
- UX project planning and execution, including participating in or leading meetings with stakeholders to provide technical input on user experience development.
- User experience engineering: implementing, developing, and updating user interfaces through coding.
- Design implementation: supporting or influencing product UX by developing and iterating concepts, providing technical input, and engaging stakeholders.
- Creating artifacts such as design documents for consensus building among team members and stakeholders.
- UX problem analysis: identifying potential user experience or technical issues and analyzing risks.
- Configuring and updating computational design features through coding.
- Acting as a technical liaison between engineers and designers.
- Contributing to or managing projects involving user interface components and developing new component systems.
- Evaluating new technology feasibility and providing feedback to stakeholders.
- Developing tools to improve team efficiency in designing, executing, or communicating.
Skills:
- Proficiency in designing, writing, testing, and maintaining software applications, with knowledge of programming languages and practices.
- Analytical skills to interpret data, generate solutions, and identify opportunities or gaps in systems.
- Knowledge of industry trends, product areas, and market developments affecting the company's operations.
- Understanding of design principles, tools, standards, and accessibility guidelines such as WCAG.
- Ability to craft compelling stories using data to influence and inspire audiences.
- Understanding human behavior, motivations, and usability principles to inform design decisions.
- Proficiency in developing prototypes and documenting technical specifications clearly.
- Knowledge of the product development lifecycle and team roles.
- Strong meeting management skills, including setting agendas, driving outcomes, and following up.
- Ability to analyze complex situations from a technical or organizational perspective.
- Experience with UX platforms (Android, iOS, web) and optimizing performance.
- Skills in influencing perspectives and building consensus through data and storytelling.
