Role Title: Creative Technologist / User Experience Engineer
Location: London, UK (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH)
Responsibilities:
- UX project planning and execution
- Participate in or lead project meetings with stakeholders to provide technical input on user experience development
- User experience engineering: implement, develop, and update user interfaces through coding
- Design implementation: support or influence product UX by developing concepts and engaging stakeholders
- Create artifacts for consensus building such as design documents and specifications
- Analyze UX and technical issues, identify risks, and develop solutions
- Configure and update computational design features through coding
- Serve as a technical liaison between engineers and designers
- Contribute to user experience systems by integrating UI components and leading component system development
- Evaluate new technologies for feasibility and provide feedback
- Develop tools to improve team efficiency in design, execution, and communication
Skills:
- Proficiency in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications
- Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision making and identifying opportunities
- Knowledge of industry trends, product areas, and technology developments
- Understanding of design principles, accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), and best practices
- Ability to craft compelling stories with data to influence stakeholders
- Understanding of human behavior and usability principles
- Proficiency in developing prototypes and technical specifications
- Knowledge of product development processes and cross-functional roles
- Ability to lead meetings, set agendas, and drive decisions
- System-level problem analysis and understanding of interrelated components
- Technical knowledge of UX platforms (Android, iOS, web) and performance optimization
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence through storytelling
