Role Title: Creative Technologist / User Experience Engineer
Location: London, UK (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH)
Responsibilities:
- UX project planning and execution
- Participate in or lead project meetings with stakeholders (e.g., product managers, researchers) to provide technical input and inform project decisions on user experience development.
- User experience engineering: Implement, develop, and update the user interface by coding.
- Design implementation: Support or influence product user experience by developing and iterating concepts, providing technical input, and engaging relevant stakeholders (e.g., designers, software engineers, product managers).
- Creating artifacts for consensus building: Develop design documents and specifications to align team members and stakeholders on technical or UI topics.
- UX problem analysis: Identify and analyze potential user experience and technical issues, risks, and obstacles.
- Configure, implement, and update computational design features through coding.
- Serve as the technical liaison between engineers and designers.
- User experience systems: Contribute to or lead projects involving UI components and system development.
- Technical validation/feasibility: Evaluate new technologies and provide feedback.
- UX tooling: Develop solutions to improve team efficiency and communication.
Skills:
- Proficiency in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, generate solutions, and identify system gaps.
- Knowledge of industry trends, product areas, and market developments.
- Understanding of design principles, standards, and accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG).
- Ability to craft compelling stories using data to influence stakeholders.
- Understanding of human behavior, usability principles, and design best practices.
- Proficiency in developing prototypes and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of product development processes and team roles.
- Strong meeting facilitation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and consider broader organizational impacts.
- Technical knowledge of UX platforms (Android, iOS, web) and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication skills to present and advocate ideas effectively.
