Job summary

Svayam is seeking a UX Designer to shape the next generation of online shopping. You’ll own end-to-end design from discovery to launch, collaborate with product, engineering and marketing, apply user insights to guide decisions, and experiment with research methods, wireframes, prototypes and design systems to deliver delightful experiences.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ experience as a UX Designer.
• Portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking and process.
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD and user research methods.
• Experience collaborating with product, engineering and marketing in an Agile environment.
• Bonus for mobile-first design and WCAG accessibility.

What You’ll Work On

• End-to-End Design Ownership: Lead UX design across new and existing projects, from discovery to launch.
• Research & User Insights: Conduct user interviews, usability tests, and competitor analyses to validate ideas and uncover needs.
• Wireframing & Prototyping: Craft low- to high-fidelity prototypes to communicate ideas and guide development.
• Design Systems: Help evolve and maintain Svayam’s design system, ensuring visual and functional consistency.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to align goals and deliver delightful experiences.
• Continuous Improvement: Analyze user behavior, heatmaps, and feedback to optimize flows, remove friction, and increase satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For

• 2 - 4 years’ experience as a UX Designer, preferably within a tech or e-commerce environment.
• Proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design thinking and process.
• Comfortable with user research methodologies and iterative design.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills – you listen as well as you present.
• Bonus points for experience designing mobile-first interfaces or working with accessibility standards (WCAG).
• A passion for solving complex problems in simple, elegant ways.
