Job summary

BMW UK, Farnborough, is offering a placement year as a Used Cars Business Analyst. You will support the Used Cars team in developing and implementing strategic projects to boost profitability and volume for Retailers while aligning with BMW Group Used Car strategy.

This role invites you to work across departments, analyse data and industry trends, and assist with budgets to fund initiatives. Eligible students can gain hands-on experience in a global automotive model.

Qualifications

• Currently studying an undergraduate degree with predicted grade of 2:1 or above.
• Analytical mindset and strong numerical reasoning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new challenges.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Support the analysis, development and implementation of the BMW Group Used Car strategy to ensure it is sustainable, profitable and engaging to Retailers and Customers.
• Assist with organisation, prioritisation and management of BMW Group Used Car key projects to increase opportunities for Retailer Growth.
• Research industry and competitor trends along with analysing internal programmes and data to provide Used Car Team with insights and considerations for future initiatives.
• Support Used Car Development Manager with raising and reconciling operational budgets to fund projects and suppliers.
• Support with evaluating and developing Used Car programmes such as Audits, Mystery Shops, AUC standards and many more exciting projects to come.
• An opportunity to work with other departments across the BMW Group business and understand the full scope of a global vehicle manufacturer.
